Your location is only captured when you consciously tap Check In. Jettd never accesses your location in the background, never tracks you passively, and never shares your location without your explicit action. This is a deliberate design decision, not a limitation.

Privacy & Security — built in, not bolted on
An app that shares your location with your family has to get privacy right. Every decision in Jettd's design starts with the question: what's the minimum we need to share to make this useful?
Your location is never captured in the background. Only when you tap Check In. This is a hard design rule, not a setting.
Every family link uses a cryptographically random token. 128 bits of entropy. Cannot be guessed or enumerated.
Exact GPS coordinates are automatically deleted after 30 days. Only the city name is kept in your check-in history.
We do not sell, share or monetise your personal data. No advertising. No tracking SDKs. No analytics on your individual behaviour.
Every database query is restricted to the authenticated user's own data. It's architecturally impossible to read another user's trips.
We never see or store your card details. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, who are PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
